Its operations are supported by manufacturing facilities, including in Malaysia, and it actively competes with Chinese producers by exploring innovations in ingredients and production processes to maintain competitiveness in pricing and quality.
Key Responsibilities1. Purchasing & Sourcing
Develop purchasing plan based on production requirementsSource and evaluate new suppliers and alternative materialsMonitor market trends and raw material prices to support purchasing decisions2. Supplier & Cost Management
Manage supplier relationships and evaluate supplier performanceIdentify cost-saving opportunitiesEnsure supply continuity and mange potential supply risksDevelop alternative suppliers for key materials3. Monitor inventory levels and purchasing requirements
4. Ensure compliance with procurement SOPs and documentation requirements
5. Lead the procurement team to achieve departmental KPIs, cost-saving targets
and operational targets
6. Work closely with Planner, Production, QA, R&D, Finance and other departments
7. Prepare procurement reports and provide updates to Management
Requirements
Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business or related disciplineMinimum 5-8 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, preferably in a manufacturing environmentAt least 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial roleGood understanding of raw materials purchasing, inventory management, and supply planningStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsDetail-oriented with good record-keeping and documentation skillsGood communication and cross-functional coordination skillsGood command of written and spoken English
