Job Purpose and Impact
Reporting to the Production Manager at our Baupte site (310 employees), you will join the Process Development Group team within Cargill Starches, Sweeteners & Texturizers. Your primary mission will be to ensure the reliability and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, actively contributing to the site's competitiveness, safety, and environmental performance.
Key Accountabilities
Act as the subject matter expert for manufacturing processes, responsible for reliability and continuous improvementLead the execution of projects related to process engineering and process safetyDevelop and maintain performance indicators (KPIs) for production lines and operations, and use them constructively to drive process improvementParticipate in deviation analyses and the development of corrective solutions as a process expertDevelop and execute improvement projects aimed at reducing costs (yield, energy, productivity, waste reduction)Improve the safety of people, processes, food safety standards, and environmental impactEnsure the transfer of knowledge and best practices (leading practices) within production teamsWrite procedures and ensure their proper implementation on the floorProvide support to engineering teams on projects impacting manufacturing processesDevelop a multi-year process improvement roadmap to maintain the competitiveness of the industrial facilityWhen necessary, provide temporary coverage for the Production Supervisor to ensure operational continuity
Qualifications
Chemical Engineering degree or General Engineering degree with a specialization in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering.Minimum of 3 years of experience in production and/or process engineering.Continuous improvement certifications (Lean Six Sigma / Green Belt) are considered a plus.Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams. Strong natural leadership skills and the ability to confidently defend and support positions.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Fluent in French and English. #LI-SF1
