As a Cybersecurity Intelligence Senior Associate in Cybersecurity & Tech Controls, Intelligence Operations Team, you will be an integral member of a team that specializes in analyzing malware targeting the firm and organizations around the world, while expanding the firm's cyber monitoring capabilities into new and exciting areas. We're looking for a self-motivated junior analyst with an insatiable curiosity toward all things cyber to join our team. You'll spend a majority of your time designing, developing, and building innovative capabilities, while also hunting threats, investigating anomalies, and analyzing malware, with mentoring provided by senior members of our team.

Job responsibilities

Conduct advanced malware analysis and reverse engineering of suspicious code, leveraging deep expertise in cyberattack tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) to investigate, assess, and mitigate security threatsone noDevelop malware detection signatures, automate analysis and intelligence-gathering processes, and proactively hunt for emerging malware samples, IOCs, and adversary TTPs across diverse data sourcesResearching threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits to enhance monitoring and detection capabilitiesPartnering with the Incident Response (IR) teams to understand incidents and support technical analysis of malicious cyber eventsDocumenting and presenting findings in comprehensive technical analysis reportsCommunicating effectively with business representatives, technology specialists, and vendorsAssisting peer analysts in the production and dissemination of intelligence reportsContributing technical expertise and Cybersecurity perspectives to discussions regarding JPMC global technology infrastructureUses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate threat research synthesis and risk assessment documentation, validating outputs and handling data according to sensitivity and security requirements.Applies reuse-first, AI-assisted approaches to improve automation in threat detection and analysis workflows, ensuring outputs are validated and aligned to security expectations. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or related disciplines2+ years of experience in cybersecurity intelligence, threat assessment, or security research, focusing on malware analysis / reverse engineeringDemonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support threat intelligence and security research workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.Ability to review and validate AI-assisted intelligence findings and risk recommendations before use, escalating when uncertain and following security and data handling requirements.Basic coding (scripting) experience (i.e. Python, C, JavaScript, VBScript, etc.)Familiarity with Cloud platforms (i.e. AWS, Azure, etc.) and Virtualization technologies (i.e VMWare)Experience with some of the following: SIEM, SOAR, OSINT, IDA Pro, Ghidra, BinaryNinja, Wireshark, Jupyter, SQL, YARA, AWS LambdaA firm belief in doing what's right and following ethical practicesFoundational understanding of Forensics, Log Analysis, Incident Response and / or Threat and Fraud IntelligenceKnowledge in Operating Systems (i.e. Windows, Linux, Mac, Mobile), processor architectures (i.e. x86, x64), and computer networkingStrong written and verbal communication skills; ability to understand complex problems while formally presenting them simplistically
