Job Summary
With safety as a primary responsibility, this Supervisor is responsible for supervising overall plant operations, maintenance and employees to ensure non-stop production of top-quality products.
Job Responsibilities
Ensure all safety rules are followedSet production goals and expectationEnsure proper housekeeping of the plantAnalyze scorecards and production reportsOversee yard/warehouse personnelHire, train, promote and discipline employeesAdjust employee schedules to ensure adequate coverage of shiftsPlan and manage raw material and finished goods inventory, ensuring production schedules align with facility capabilities, customer requirements, and financial planning- Plan and manage raw material and finished goods inventory, ensuring production schedules align with facility capabilities, customer requirements, and financial planningOversee materials replenishment, quality standards, and performance metrics, while controlling operational costs and identifying cost-reduction opportunitiesMaintain accurate documentation, report production hours, and monitor employee timekeeping, ensuring compliance with policies and tracking overtimeDirect workers in electrical, electronic, mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipmentAssist and direct workers in diagnosis of malfunctions in equipment and machineryObserve mechanical devices and equipment to determine proper functioning or identify causes of troubleStudies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignmentInterprets company policies and safety regulations to ensure compliance and safe work environmentPlan and implement a schedule of routine and preventative maintenance procedures and assign and monitor personnelOther duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
Job Requirements
Minimum 3+ years industry and general office experience Knowledge of construction products, computers, basic accounting, and inventoryWorking knowledge of manufacturing / production plants preferredEmployee management experience preferredAbility to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and assemble schematic drawings Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred
