MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Handle the configuration and operation of computer operating systems Develop and verify backups of data Update systems as the need arises for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution Administrate infrastructure, including firewalls, XDR and antivirus programsMonitoring of Operating Systems' performance and availabilityFile Server and DNS support and maintenanceWindows systems setup and configuration Linux systems installation and configuration Setting up and handling VMware platformsConfiguring the platform for MS SQL ServersHandling AWS servicesEstablishing and managing Active Directory and Windows-based environmentsMaintain up-to-date user documentationMaintain clear communication with immediate manager, with respect to work undertaken and ensure that performance standards/expectations should not get breached.Regularly update and consult with direct manager regarding ongoing tasks and projects.Provide timely progress reports and seek mentorship as needed to ensure efficient workflow.Attend & chip in to team huddles, meetings & ad hoc meetings when required.Assist in additional duties and assignments as assigned by supervisors or management to support the achievement of department and interpersonal goals.Participating in on-call schedule II. In their everyday work the DevOps Engineer is subordinate to the Managing Director of the Company, according to the approved Company'interpersonal chart.Work closely with all relevant parties both inside and outside the organization. III. REQUIREMENTS
In-depth experience with Windows and Linux server administrationKnowledge of how to configure and maintain VMware platformsExperience with infrastructure for MS SQL serversEn-depth experience with AWS or Azure or GCPIn-depth understanding of server, network and application securityExperience with configuring and handling directory services and Windows operating system environmentsExperience with Firewalls and Networking Proficiency in written and spoken English Compensation Philosophy
