Our Cost Management Team proactively manage the cost of a building project, from the initial design stages through to the building’s completion and sometimes even the costs incurred through maintenance and operation, once the building is up and running. Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Cost Manager or Senior Cost Manager to join our Uk South Cost Management team working from our Bristol Office, with a focus on various real estate and local authority clients, with projects spanning various sectors including but not limited to healthcare, education and infrastructure. You will join an established team of circa 120 cost management professionals in UK South, 16 located in the Bristol Office. Role Responsibilities: The candidate will be an integral part of a team that is accountable for the commercial and contractual performance of a project. Individually or as part of a team operate processes for the selection, appointment and management of construction and engineering contractors. Being involved in all aspects of Cost Planning. Preparation of indicative cost budgets and appraisals. Providing advice on procurement strategy. Preparing and issuing tender documents. Pre and Post Contract Quantity Surveying. Candidate Profile Experience: Proven technical delivery experience. Demonstrable experience managing your own projects within similar sectors. Previous experience in a Cost Manager role in a Consultancy environment. Client facing, ensuring a high standard of technical delivery. Stakeholder management with a clear focus on developing client accounts. Qualifications: Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar technical discipline. MRICS or studying toward MRICS Behaviours: Recognised as a client focused, positive collaborator who shares knowledge freely and offers support to their peers and seniors. Recognised as a team player with a strong willingness to learn. Demonstrates a positive and proactive approach to the role, and will be committed to delivering customer service excellence, with good commercial results.
