With a skilled workforce across manufacturing, engineering, laboratory, supply chain and support functions, the site offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in a highly technical environment The Opportunity We are now recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter - Days. In the role of Mechanical Fitter at Wyke, you’ll be integral to the reliability and efficiency of our production operations. Your responsibilities will include carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance, supporting production and project teams, and ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company standards. You’ll play a key role in minimising downtime, maintaining critical equipment, and contributing to a safe and high-performing work environment across our chemical manufacturing facility You’ll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence. Ensure that all assigned mechanical maintenance routine, corrective and breakdown maintenance activity plans are carried out as prescribed in compliance with the company permit to work system and procedure, to minimize risk to personnel, the environment and company assets. Provide desired services to operating departments at optimal levels in line with departmental planning and scheduling strategies. Ensure inter-departmental interface in accordance with company operating standards and requirements. (Mechanical). Provide input and support in Competency Based Training for department staff as requested/required. Assist the mechanical shift lead with day-to-day planning as required. Maintain active department involvement, interface and demonstrated commitment to all company HSE related initiatives and planned activities
