About this role

Do you thrive on helping looked after children and children with SEN reach their full potential? Do you want to be part of a supportive team that’s changing lives every day? Esland Care are currently seeking a "Turning the Curve" Outreach Educator who is able to deliver tutoring to small groups and on a 1-1 basis for our established children's Assessments home based in the outskirts of Shifnal. Shropshire (with support from our SEN school in Ditton Priors and our Online School). Woodside Farm is a two-bed service that offers immediate intervention and trauma-informed, therapeutic support for vulnerable young people ranging from 8 to 18 years old. Our assessments placements ensure that young people are given security, support, and stabilisation in a nurturing and peaceful environment. Alongside the care team, our Outreach Educator will support up to two young people over a 12-week placement. Our assessment homes are all AQA (Assessment Qualifications and Alliance) registered centres, which means we can provide education with every placement. Through a results-based accountability approach, you will strive towards "Turning the Curve" for our young people. Pupils access our AQA program as well as a range of qualifications including Entry Level, Functional Skills, or GCSEs dependent on their current attainment level and aspirations. Young people also have the opportunity to work towards ASDAN qualifications or Unit Awards.
