Are you a property development solicitor ready to lead complex social housing transactions that make a lasting impact? You'll join our nationally recognised social housing team, supporting Partners on high-value development and stock rationalisation projects for Registered Providers. This is an excellent opportunity to work on nationally significant affordable housing schemes. Assisting with the acquisition and disposal of large-scale tenanted residential property portfolios, undertaking legal due diligence and providing oversight and support to less experienced team members, while supporting transaction management from inception through to completion. Supporting Partners on complex affordable housing development projects, including joint ventures, site acquisitions, overage arrangements, development agreements and title structuring. Drafting, negotiating and, where appropriate, overseeing a broad range of property and development documentation, including contracts for sale, transfers, leases, easements, deeds of covenant and ancillary transaction documents. Advising Registered Provider clients on property and development matters throughout the development lifecycle. Coordinating and managing legal due diligence exercises, identifying title, planning, construction and property-related risks, and proposing practical solutions in collaboration with specialist construction, procurement, housing management, regulatory, governance and planning teams. Building and maintaining effective working relationships with clients, consultants and legal advisers to progress transactions efficiently. Delivering high-quality, commercially focused legal advice within agreed timescales and budgets. Working closely with Orbital Witness, AVAIL and KIRA technologies to support efficient and streamlined project delivery (previous experience with these platforms is beneficial but not essential). Acting as a key contact for a number of clients and/or business introducers, identifying opportunities to connect clients with relevant expertise across the firm where appropriate. Contributing to business development activities by identifying and progressing new opportunities, supporting the preparation of tenders and quotations, helping to maintain pricing consistency across the department, and regularly reviewing the firm's service offering to ensure continued excellence. Supporting the delivery of workshops, seminars and training sessions for clients and colleagues. Recording time accurately and comprehensively in accordance with the firm's time recording system, and proactively managing individual targets relating to time recording, billing, work in progress and aged debt. Supporting the development, mentoring and knowledge-sharing of colleagues where appropriate. Undertaking any other reasonable duties required to support the effective operation of the department and wider practice.
