We have an exciting opportunity for a Unscheduled Care Nurse o join our Unscheduled Care team at HMP Wormwood Scrubs, a category B Prison located in West London

37.5 hrs per week 7.20am -7.45pm 3/4 days per week covering weekends and bank holiday (ability to cover nights as and when needed i.e holiday cover) Salary

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £55,086 per annum -depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Unscheduled Care Nurse your responsibilities will vary. You will

Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse/paramedic led service and prevent hospital admissions. Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients. Use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi-disciplinary team. Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them. Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference. Inspire excellence by forging strong links with our partners and stakeholders. Promote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence based care and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of shared learning. Expected to attend and respond to emergencies. Share knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure safe care, building strong multi-disciplinary teams. Qualifications required:

Registered nurse Adult Current professional qualification (NMC) Evidence of Continued Professional Development Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working A non-judgmental and compassionate approach Excellent communication skills Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
