We require a Practice Administrator - Mon to Fri offering flexible hours for 4 hours a day with initiative, drive, strong interpersonal, admin and IT skills. Previous admin are desirable. Join our happy and dedicated team providing quality care to a diverse population.
Main duties of the job
Administrative support: Manage correspondence, emails, letters, reports, forms, referrals and other practice documentation.
Patient administration: Maintain accurate patient records, process registrations and deductions, update demographics, and deal with administrative queries.
Medical records: Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of patient information in accordance with UK GDPR, NHS requirements and practice policies.
Practice systems: Use and maintain electronic systems such as the practice clinical system, NHS systems and administrative databases.
Confidentiality and safeguarding: Handle sensitive patient and staff information appropriately and follow safeguarding and information-governance procedures.
Reception duties
Ad hoc duties as and when required by the Practice

Qualifications Essential
Education to GCSE standard or Equivalent
Experience Essential
Previous experience in an administrative role. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Strong attention to detail. Good written and verbal communication skills. Good IT and computer skills. Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Professional, friendly and patient-focused approach. Ability to deal appropriately with confidential and sensitive information. Flexible and willing to support colleagues when required.
Desirable
Previous experience working in a GP practice, NHS or healthcare environment. Knowledge of GP practice administration and NHS procedures. Experience using GP clinical systems. Understanding of confidentiality, UK GDPR and information governance.
