This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive and collaborative practice. If you are new to General Practice, we support our new Nurses through a Practice Nurse Preceptorship.

Main duties of the job
As a Practice Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients across a broad range of services, to include all duties normally undertaken by an RGN and in addition any duties as appropriate.

Practice independently in accordance with NMC code of conduct and with reference to practice guidelines, appropriately referring to GPsMaintain accurate documentation of care and utilisation of ITEnsure continuation of own personal and professional development, facilitated by utilisation of clinical supervision networks.Offer a holistic approach to travel health by providing comprehensive advice to patients prior to travel including; vaccinations and medicines, safe sex, food hygiene, sun protection. Person Specification
Skills and Knowledge Essential
Knowledge of patient group directions and associated policy Clinical skills chronic disease management, cervical cytology, immunisation and vaccination Change-management skills and ability to support patients to change lifestyle Communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to communicate difficult messages to patients and families IT skills, competent with Microsoft Office 365, email, and use of internet as a resource
Desirable
