Main duties of the job As Wellbeing and Activities Assistant, your focus will be to support the Wellbeing Coordinator in providing a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate the resident's physical, cognitive, and social well-being. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe living and working environment, reporting changes in residents' conditions, supporting with activities supplies, and establishing community links. The role requires effective communication skills, an understanding of interaction's role in well-being, a positive attitude towards older people, and prior experience working with older people in a dementia setting. The job involves shift work, including weekends, and requires a DBS check.

As Wellbeing and Activities Assistant, your focus will be tosupportthe Wellbeing Coordinator in providing a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate the resident's physical, cognitive, and social well-being.
Other responsibilitieswillinclude:
Maintaininga safe living and working environment,contributing to the positive and professional image of thehome. Reporting any changes in residents physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing and Activity Coordinator, Home Manager, and the care staff. Supporting with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities as directed. Supporting establishing links with the local community (e.g., schools, spiritual groups, museums/libraries) to encourage access to the wider community and promote intergenerational activity.

Have previously worked with older people in a residential nursing Dementia setting.

Qualifications Essential
To succeed in your application, you must live the values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable. You must have effective communication skills (verbal and written), demonstrate an understanding of the role of interaction in general well-being, and have a positive attitude towards older people. Additionally, you must be committed to providing stimulating, quality activities and social events, and have previously worked with older people in a residential nursing Dementia setting. Proof of eligibility to work in the UK is also required.
