Job Title: Equipment controller

Contract Type: Permanent

Main duties of the job

Working in a small team operating within an ISO9001 quality management system and reporting to the office manager -

a) To process medical equipment, orders, telephone calls, recording of information on the eQuip asset management system and other related day to day activities.

b) To provide a full reception service and administrative cover to Clinical Engineering. The department manages 30,000+ assets and employees approximately 25 Clinical Technologists.

c) Working with - External Medical Engineers and representatives, internal technical staff and managers, Consultants, Junior Medical Staff, Medical Students, Specialist Nurses, Ward/Unit/Department Managers, other Nursing staff, internal and external hospital departments, Ward Clerks, other secretarial staff, Outpatient staff and senior managers.

Qualifications, knowledge and experience Essential

Vocational qualification to level 3 in Secretarial, admin or equivalent Educated to English GCSE standard RSA level III keyboard skills or equivalent Excellent organisational skills Recent experience of reception/secretarial duties Familiar with MS Office Able to create Excel spreadsheets Ability to work as a team member
