Job summary
The role of SARC Manager is critical in providing victims of sexual assault with the dedicated support and care required. Acting as the advocate for patients who attend the centre, you will empower them to feel in control and where applicable, support them during the forensic examination process.

Each county has its own dedicated Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC), the service has been commissioned to improve the immediate medical response and aftercare offered to victims of sexual assault and rape.
Mountain Healthcare are a specialist business already providing similar services to 20 other SARCs in locations across the UK. For this role you will work as the SARC Manager and will be responsible for co-ordinating all activities related to the smooth running of the SARC.
The SARC Manager will effectively lead and manage this multi-agency Centre and services, playing a pivotal role in developing a strategic vision for the service ensuring changes meet internal and external expectations and meets budgetary constraints who will help cover the service (predominantly) out of office hours, including nights and weekends.

Location: The Glade SARC, Bransford, Worcestershire, WR6 5JD
Additional Locations: The Glade (Telford spoke site).
Travel to this location required as part of the service delivery.
Starting Salary: £47,505.35, rising to £49,102.20 once passing probation, rising to £51,214.10 once CQC Registered Manager.
This role is full-time, 40 hours per week, predominantly Monday to Friday.
There is a requirement to be flexible to cover on call shifts as and when required out of hours, and to travel to SARC's if needed.
Shift Pattern: 8 hours

Qualifications Essential
NMC registered nurse, midwife, or registered paramedic with a minimum of three years post qualification experience. Confident working with vulnerable adults and children Strong communication, clinical judgment and organisational skills Ability to remain calm and professional in emotionally challenging situations Full UK driving licence Willingness to work outside core hours when needed to support the 24-hour rota Female applicants only, as permitted under the Sex Discrimination Act Section 7(2)b and 7(2)e Applicants must live within 60 minutes travelling time to their appointed/local SARC
Desirable
Leadership or management experience within a clinical setting Experience within SARCs, forensic healthcare, sexual violence services or safeguarding Training or experience in forensic examinations Experience working with police, commissioners or multi agency safeguarding partners
