About this role

Job Title: Grinder OperatorJob DescriptionThe Grinder Operator sets up and operates grinding equipment to deburr welded parts, perform precise measurements, and support the fabrication of high-quality components. This role involves using a hand grinder and various power and hand tools to finish parts accurately, as well as monitoring robotic equipment to ensure consistent production quality.Responsibilities

• Operate a hand grinder to deburr and finish welded parts according to specifications. • Measure products accurately using a tape measure and other inspection tools to ensure precise machining and bending of parts. • Set up and operate equipment such as pipe benders, drills, punch presses, and other power tools as needed. • Monitor robotic equipment during production and report any issues or irregularities to the appropriate personnel. • Perform visual and dimensional inspections on parts to verify quality and adherence to standards. • Follow work instructions, safety procedures, and production schedules to meet daily output and quality targets. • Maintain a clean and organized work area and handle tools and equipment in a safe and responsible manner. • Collaborate with team members and support other fabrication tasks as required. Essential Skills

• Minimum of 6 months of grinding experience, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. • Ability to read and interpret a tape measure accurately. • High school diploma or equivalent. • Experience using power tools such as grinders, drills, and punch presses. • Familiarity with basic hand tools and machine operation. • Ability to perform basic inspections and use measuring tools for quality checks. • Comfort working with machinery and following safety procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience operating pipe benders and other fabrication equipment. • History in machine operation within a manufacturing or metal fabrication setting. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. • Willingness to learn new processes and grow into roles within the fabrication department. • Ability to work effectively as part of a production team. Starting pay of $19/hr.Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a manufacturing facility that produces various fitness equipment from start to finish. The facility has recently relocated and is undergoing remodeling and upgrades, providing an evolving and improving work setting. You will work with grinders, pipe benders, drills, punch presses, and other power and hand tools, as well as monitor robotic equipment as part of the production process. The position is on a first shift schedule, working Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The environment is hands-on, production-oriented, and focused on safety, quality, and teamwork. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of STURTEVANT, WI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
