About this role
Machine Operator: This role supports daily work in a structural steel fabrication shop. You’ll help run machines, move heavy steel beams, use tools, and keep the work area safe. The job is physical, hands‑on, and includes regular overtime. Responsibilities
• Assist drill line operations and prepare large steel beams • Use hand tools and power tools for basic assembly or disassembly • Learn to operate an overhead crane to move materials • Align beams correctly for drilling • Load programs and run drilling machinery • Perform general machine operation and production tasks • Follow blueprints or instructions • Maintain a steady work pace and meet quality standards • Keep the work area clean and safe • Help with general shop labor as needed Required Skills
• Lift and move up to 75 lbs regularly • Mechanical aptitude and comfort with tools • Experience or interest in machine operation • Willingness to learn new equipment • Ability to work overtime, including some Saturdays • Strong safety awareness Helpful Experience
• Shop helper or general labor background • Drill press or drill line experience • Basic blueprint reading • Structural steel or fabrication experience • Comfortable in a union environment Why Work Here

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.57 - $19.57/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
