About this role

Job Title: Material HandlerPay $19Sutton MAJob DescriptionAs a Material Handler, you will be responsible for transporting raw materials and finished goods between production lines, stages, and the shipping dock. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks upon certification and need a basic ability to enter information into a computer while coordinating with leads and other departments.Responsibilities

• Participate in daily cycle counts and provide accurate inventory counts. • Store incoming materials from receiving and production in proper bin locations. • Select and deliver outgoing items from stock to the manufacturing department as requested. • Prepare items from stock for shipments to customers. • Document inventory transactions accurately on proper inventory documents. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stock area by adhering to proper storage and housekeeping guidelines. • Inspect equipment daily to ensure proper and safe functioning. • Load and unload trailers as required for receiving, shipping, or transfers. • Update inventory in the database as required by the Warehouse Supervisor or Team Leader. • Comply with company policies and procedures, with a special focus on safety. Essential Skills

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, and read/write short correspondence. • Basic understanding of computers and data entry. • Comfortable operating forklifts and pallet jacks when needed. • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior forklift experience is ideal. • Experience with inventory control, cycle counts, inventory management, shipping and receiving. • Proficiency with RF scanner and SAP systems. The facility is temperature-controlled, and the position requires working 3rd shift from 9pm to 5am. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sutton, MA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
