Job Title: MelterJob DescriptionThis role operates cocoa powder melter machines in a food production facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and consistent production. You will load materials, monitor equipment through a computer interface, perform basic troubleshooting, and complete documentation while working in a warm, fast-paced environment that prioritizes food safety and product quality.Responsibilities

• Load cocoa powder into melter machines according to production schedules and specifications. • Lift, move, and handle bags weighing up to 50 lbs on a frequent and repeated basis. • Use a computer interface to monitor machine weights, temperatures, and overall performance. • Record and maintain accurate production data on paper forms and in computer systems. • Perform basic troubleshooting on equipment when operational issues arise. • Conduct quality checks before, during, and after machine runs to ensure product standards are met. • Assist with general production and warehouse duties as needed to support overall operations. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in alignment with food safety and quality guidelines. • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and HACCP requirements at all times. • Manage time effectively to meet production targets and shift requirements. • Regularly go up and down stairs throughout the shift as part of normal work activities. Essential Skills

• Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred. • Ability to repeatedly lift and handle up to 50 lbs safely. • Basic computer skills for data entry and machine monitoring. • Comfort working in high-heat environments, including warm work areas up to approximately 120°F during peak summer. • Mechanical aptitude to perform basic troubleshooting and support machine operation. • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. • Reliable attendance and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and HACCP in a food production environment. • Ability to work effectively in louder-than-average noise levels with appropriate hearing protection. • Capability to manage time effectively in a production setting. Available schedules include: first shift from 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., second shift from 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and third shift from 9:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Monday through Friday. The environment includes warm work areas, with temperatures that can reach up to approximately 120°F during peak summer, and louder-than-average noise levels, requiring consistent use of ear protection. The facility follows strict food safety and quality standards, including GMPs and HACCP. Team members regularly go up and down stairs and must manage time effectively to meet production goals. The dress code requires wearing hairnets, beard nets (as applicable), steel-toed boots, ear plugs, and gloves at all times during the shift, reflecting the focus on safety and hygiene in a food manufacturing setting. Shift differentials apply for second and third shifts, reflecting the varying hours across the operation.Experience Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of American Canyon, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.50 - $23.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
