Job Title: PipefitterPay: $28-$34/hrTravel: Some local Travel includes daily per diem - $100Hours: 50+ hours available a week (Great Overtime Opportunity)Job DescriptionThis role involves installing, assembling, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing stainless steel and carbon steel piping systems in a variety of industrial and construction environments. You will use your technical expertise to interpret blueprints and isometric drawings, ensure work meets specifications and safety standards, and collaborate closely with project teams to deliver high-quality, timely results.Responsibilities
• Install, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair stainless steel and carbon steel piping systems in heavy industrial plants and new construction sites. • Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, technical schematics, and specifications to determine accurate pipe layouts and configurations. • Lay out, cut, thread, and hammer pipe to precise specifications using tools such as saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders. • Use appropriate pipefitting tools and equipment to assemble and secure piping systems according to project requirements and industry standards. • Inspect completed work to verify conformance with specifications, drawings, and quality standards. • Ensure all tasks comply with applicable safety standards, regulations, and company safety procedures. • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to coordinate work and support timely and accurate project completion. • Identify and communicate any design, material, or scheduling issues that may impact project progress. • Support pipe welding activities as needed, working with welders to prepare, fit, and align piping components. • Maintain a clean and organized work area and care properly for tools, equipment, and materials. Essential Skills
• Minimum 5 years of experience working with stainless steel and carbon steel piping systems. • Proven pipefitting experience in industrial and construction environments. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and technical schematics. • Strong understanding of pipefitting tools, equipment, and safe operating procedures. • Experience laying out, cutting, threading, and assembling pipe to precise specifications. • Ability to inspect work for conformance to specifications and quality standards. • Strong commitment to working safely and following safety regulations and guidelines. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Pipe welding experience is a plus. • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is preferred. • Experience working in heavy industrial plants and new construction sites. • Ability to adapt to different project types and site conditions. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. You must be comfortable working in different environmental conditions typical of industrial plants and construction projects, which may include noise, varying temperatures, and physical demands such as standing, climbing, and working in elevated or confined areas. Travel to different job sites is expected, and some assignments may be out of state, with mileage provided for those jobs. Safety is a core focus, and adherence to safety procedures and use of appropriate personal protective equipment is required. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moncks Corner, SC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
