This is a unique and exciting opportunity to play a key role in the reintroduction of vessel-based stimulation services to the UK market, helping shape the future of our operations while driving value for our customers and the wider energy industry Partner with the best As an Electrician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, testing, maintaining, repairing, and inspecting a wide range of electrical and electro-mechanical equipment. You will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and operational readiness while supporting workshop and offshore/onshore operations. You will also utilize your expertise in fault finding, instrumentation, control systems, and hazardous area equipment to maintain high operational standards. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for:
• Troubleshooting, testing, assembling, disassembling, and inspecting electrical and electro-mechanical equipment. • Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on electrical systems, motor control circuits, and instrumentation equipment. • Performing maintenance and functional testing of Fire & Gas detection systems. • Using multi-meters, megohmmeters, and other diagnostic instruments to identify and resolve equipment issues. • Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, assembly drawings, and technical documentation. • Configuring test stations and conducting testing activities to verify equipment performance and compliance. • Analyzing test data, troubleshooting failures, and recommending corrective actions. • Working safely and in compliance with Baker Hughes HS&E policies and procedures. Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will:
• Have a COMPEX certification and an SVQ qualification or equivalent electrical qualification. • Have a minimum of 8 years' experience in an electro-mechanical maintenance environment or relevant industrial sectors such as oil and gas, marine, military, airline, or electronics. • Have strong knowledge of AC/DC circuits, motor control systems, and electro-mechanical devices. • Have experience working with instrumentation and fault-finding on electrical systems and equipment. • Have a good understanding of IEE BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. • Have experience working with ATEX and hazardous area (zoned) equipment. • Have advanced troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Have experience within the oil & gas or marine industry, including exposure to vessel operations.
