R&D Engineer Are you an engineer who enjoys hands-on testing, problem-solving, and learning how products move from concept to patient care? We're seeking an R&D Engineer to join our team and support products that help physicians treat patients. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain exposure to product development, testing, validation, regulatory processes, and cross-functional collaboration while working alongside experienced engineering professionals. In this role, you'll contribute to projects that directly impact patient outcomes while building a strong foundation in medical device development and product lifecycle management.What You'll Do
• Perform hands-on laboratory testing and product evaluations. • Support design verification and validation activities for existing products. • Develop and execute test plans, protocols, and reports. • Help create and validate test methods used to evaluate product performance. • Assist with troubleshooting product, testing, and validation issues. • Support product improvement initiatives and engineering investigations. • Collaborate with Regulatory, Quality, Manufacturing, and R&D teams. • Participate in technical documentation development and review activities. • Contribute to process validation and equipment qualification efforts. • Support regulatory submissions through data collection and documentation activities. • Analyze test data and communicate findings to project teams. • Continuously develop knowledge of medical devices, therapies, and quality systems. Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related scientific discipline. • 0-2 years of engineering experience, including internships, co-ops, research projects, or full-time employment. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to learn quickly in a technical environment. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment. Preferred Qualifications
• Internship, co-op, research, or laboratory experience. • Experience with testing, data analysis, or technical documentation. • Exposure to medical devices, healthcare technology, manufacturing, or other regulated industries. • Familiarity with validation, verification, or quality systems. • Experience working with cross-functional project teams. • Interest in medical device product development and innovation. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Plymouth, MN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
