About this role

Job Title: Project ManagerJob DescriptionAn exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Project Manager to lead the design, construction, and implementation of a cutting-edge electrical test laboratory in San Jose, California. This facility will support the development and validation of large-scale photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage systems and will include high-voltage and high-power testing capabilities. Responsibilities • Oversee all phases of the project, from planning and facility modifications through equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, and stakeholder management. • Coordinate cross-functionally with engineering, facilities, manufacturing, finance, reliability, and NPI teams. • Manage multiple external partners, contractors, equipment vendors, and regulatory agencies. Essential Skills • Minimum of 7 years of project management experience overseeing the building, renovation, installation, or construction of laboratories, clean rooms, charging stations, or buildings that deal with high power electrical/electronics. • Experience with permitting, utilities, and working with electricians for electrical upgrades. • Experience with stakeholder management both internal and external, battery power systems, AC, DC, and PMP. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience with renewable energy, photovoltaic systems, battery energy storage systems, power electronics, or utility-scale electrical infrastructure. • PMP certification. • Experience managing laboratory, test facility, manufacturing, or R&D infrastructure projects. • Familiarity with electrical distribution systems, power testing environments, and high-voltage installations. • Experience supporting permitting and utility coordination activities. • Knowledge of commissioning and startup processes for industrial or engineering facilities. Work EnvironmentThe role is based onsite at a newly acquired manufacturing facility in San Jose. Work is typically Monday through Thursday onsite, with Fridays often remote, depending on project requirements. This is a great opportunity to lead a facility modification project for a test lab in a rapidly growing clean tech startup. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Fremont, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $67.31 - $72.11/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
