Medical Scribe Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Scribe to support physicians by accurately documenting patient encounters and clinical information in real time. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, excellent written communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment.Key Responsibilities
• Accompany physicians during patient encounters and document clinical interactions in real time. • Accurately transcribe patient histories as dictated by the physician. • Document physical examination findings, procedures performed, and treatment plans. • Record laboratory, diagnostic, and radiographic study results. • Document patient education discussions, including explanations of treatment options, risks, and benefits. • Enter and maintain pending orders for referrals, medications, diagnostic tests, and procedures as directed by the physician. • Ensure accurate documentation of diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and prescription information. • Prepare, review, and edit medical documentation for physician approval and signature. • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records while adhering to confidentiality and compliance standards. Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 6 months of experience as a Medical Scribe. • Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new systems and applications. • Excellent written communication skills, including proficiency in spelling, punctuation, and grammar. • Working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments. • Ability to accurately document physician-patient encounters with a high level of attention to detail. • Minimum of a HS/GED, Bachelors Degree preferred. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Los Angeles, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
