Manufacturing Technician Job DescriptionWe're looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Technician to help maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the equipment that keeps our manufacturing operations running smoothly. If you enjoy solving mechanical and electrical problems, working with production equipment, and partnering with engineers to improve manufacturing processes, we'd love to hear from you. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and support systems. • Conduct equipment setup, adjustments, and basic programming to meet production requirements. • Assist with equipment calibration and verification activities. • Support engineers with mechanical, electrical, automation, and process improvement projects. • Verify equipment safety systems are functioning properly and maintain a safe work environment. • Maintain spare parts inventory and coordinate replacement of critical components. • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history. • Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on equipment reliability and manufacturing efficiency. • Help reduce downtime and improve overall equipment performance. Essential Skills
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, production equipment support, automation, mechatronics, or a related technical role. • Technical degree, vocational training, military technical experience, or equivalent hands-on experience. • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills. • Basic understanding of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or automated systems. • Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize maintenance activities. • Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment such as medical device, aerospace, electronics, or automotive. • Experience troubleshooting automated production equipment. • Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment and machine programming. • Experience with preventive maintenance systems and equipment calibration. • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement principles. • Mechatronics, Automation, Robotics, or Electronics training. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Saint Paul, MN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
