About this role
1. Project Leadership & Execution • Oversee end‑to‑end delivery of industrial project logistics from tender stage through execution and project close‑out. • Lead project planning, including route studies, feasibility assessments, transport engineering, and risk mitigation strategies. • Approve method statements, lifting plans, and HSSE documentation prepared by operational teams. • Ensure compliance with technical requirements, safety standards, and contractual obligations. • Monitor critical project milestones and intervene proactively to resolve operational bottlenecks. 2. Commercial & Financial Management • Lead project budgeting, cost control, and financial forecasting. • Review and approve quotations, vendor selections, and major procurement decisions. • Ensure accurate billing, margin protection, and timely financial closure of projects. • Support commercial teams in tender preparation, solution design, and customer presentations. 3. Customer & Stakeholder Engagement • Serve as the senior point of contact for key project clients, EPCs, OEMs, and strategic partners. • Conduct project review meetings, performance evaluations, and post‑project debriefs. • Manage escalations, negotiate solutions, and ensure adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs) and KPIs. • Coordinate cross‑functional collaboration with chartering, engineering, HSSE, finance, and country operations teams. 4. Vendor & Carrier Management • Oversee relationships with heavy‑lift carriers, vessel owners, transport engineering firms, and specialized subcontractors. • Evaluate vendor performance and ensure compliance with contractual, technical, and safety requirements. • Approve major subcontracting decisions and negotiate key commercial terms. 5. Governance, Compliance & Risk Control • Ensure all project activities comply with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and HSSE standards. • Lead risk assessments and implement mitigation plans for high‑risk cargo movements. • Maintain audit‑ready documentation and ensure adherence to internal governance frameworks. 6. Team Leadership & Development • Supervise and mentor Industrial Projects Specialists, coordinators, and field teams. • Build capability in heavy‑lift logistics, project planning, and operational excellence. • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Required Competencies • Deep expertise in multimodal project logistics, heavy‑lift operations, and chartering. • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing project P&L. • Advanced knowledge of Incoterms, HSSE frameworks, and transport engineering principles. • Proficiency with logistics ERP systems (SAP, CargoWise, or similar). • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder‑management skills. • Ability to manage multiple large‑scale projects under tight timelines.
