The Sr. Systems Administrator plans, develops, maintains, and supports information technology systems and operations. The Systems Administrator provides documentation and training on administering and supporting those solutions to other team members and supports peers when necessary. Responsibilities: Participate in metrics gathering and monitoring activities, and serving on-call rotations with tools such as Application Insights, Grafana, and OpsGenie · Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions · Conduct routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines · Recognizes and troubleshoots problems related to servers and associated technologies; implements solutions, installs, and configures recommendations for customer needs · Ensures data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations · Researches and produces solutions to the most complex technical problems through the analysis, development/programming, testing, and application of emergent technologies both at the server and client endpoint levels · Performs system patching, vulnerability remediation, system backups, security, and disaster recovery for all essential system and client processes · Consults, coordinates support, and provides technical expertise to department for the purposes of planning, designing, coordinating, procuring, and installing servers and storage infrastructure · Prepares reports to management as needed, or requested · Develops and maintains scripted automation (e.g., Azure Automation Runbooks) to streamline recurring operational tasks and reduce manual effort · Manages tickets, service requests, and CMDB records within the ITSM platform, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution · Administers endpoint management tooling to provision, configure, and maintain compliance across workstations and devices
