Clinical Informatics Internship
Job Posting Description: Position Overview The Clinical Informatics Intern will support a research and strategy initiative examining how AI is reshaping clinical decision-making, physician agency, and team-based care. The intern will work with clinical informatics leadership to analyze AI-enabled workflows, identify implications for human oversight and automation bias, and contribute to organizational recommendations related to AI governance, clinician training, and workflow redesign. Responsibilities
• Support analysis of AI-integrated clinical decision-making workflows • Assist in identifying patterns related to cognitive offloading, automation bias, attention fragmentation, and physician oversight • Participate in clinical informatics, operational, and research meetings • Contribute to strategic recommendations for system design, physician training, and AI governance • Help develop concepts and requirements for event-level logging and dashboard reporting of human-AI interaction • Synthesize findings into reports, presentations, and internal deliverables Qualifications
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills • Interest in clinical informatics, healthcare AI, human-computer interaction, or health services research • Ability to work collaboratively across clinical, operational, and research teams • Professionalism, initiative, and strong attention to confidentiality Learning Goals
