Sr Engineer, Environmental Health & Safety - CR
Job Description: Use engineering/technical skills and knowledge of engineering/scientific concepts, procedures, standards, and industry awareness to create and maintain multi-systems and programs. Maintain, implement, and complete EHS management system, clean room projects and activities leading EHS efforts and processes to impact EHS within the facility. Job duties: • Complete internal and external EHS Compliance reports and data analysis. • Develop and present training packages and matrix. • Lead investigations of EHS incidents implementing systemic actions when required. • Lead plant EHS self-assessments and/or cross-audits. • Support EHS regulatory inspections with outside agencies which will include, but not limited to, Tokio Marine, National Insurance Institute, Ministry of Health, Terumo Corp, etc. • Support the EHS integrated management system compliance including ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 requirements. • Provide technical assistance and guidance to plant by leading safety committee team and meetings. • Define and establish EHS meetings with the Core Teams, following up with required actions and helping as needed. • Implement and maintain site EHS programs for Clean Room operations, such as Fall Protection, Machine Guarding, Electrical Safety, Control of Hazardous Energies, pre-startup safety review, Radiation Safety, Equipment Design and Chemical Safety. • Track and improve safety indicators (first aid, recordable and day-away rates), including proactive indicators. • Support the site clinic with data collection, case management, and data analysis. • Support emergency and industrial hygiene programs for clean room operations. • Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization. • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in EHS studies or related field. • Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of related experience. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Proficient computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. • Intermediate English (B1-B2). Desired Qualifications • Experience as Mechanical Engineer/Technician or related field preferred. • Experience in the medical industry preferred. • Ability to work closely with Engineers and Supervisors. • Detail oriented with strong prioritization and organization skills. • Ability to self-direct. • Innovation sense. Physical • Extended periods of computer use. • Extended periods of sitting, standing, or walking. • Moderate lifting, up to 50 lbs. • May work with machinery and chemicals, requiring strict adherence to safety protocols.
