Coordinator - Admissions Coach

Position Description: Performs supervisory and coordinative work in the operation of a specific program or departmental project. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and student assistants.

Major/Essential Functions: • Transcript Evaluation: Review and assess incoming transcripts for applicants to determine and officially record equivalent transfer credits for both non-nursing pre-requisite courses and Texas Core Curriculum requirements, in accordance with TTUHSC policies and Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board guidelines. • Advising: Provide accurate and timely advising to prospective students for all nursing programs, through Zoom, phone, or in-person sessions, to guide them through the admissions process and academic requirements. • Campus Tours: Lead informative tours of the TTUHSC Lubbock campus, including the SimLife Center, for prospective students. • Ongoing Communication: Maintain consistent communication with prospective students and applicants throughout the admissions process via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions. • Application Support: Assist Admissions Coordinators and the Director of Admissions with processing applications, ensuring that all required documentation is complete and accurate. • Record Keeping: Ensure accurate, up-to-date records for all applicants are maintained in the admissions database. • Supervision: Provide guidance and oversight to student assistants, as needed, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. • Presentations: Deliver clear and engaging presentations about the admissions process and nursing programs to both small and large groups. • Recruitment Support: Attend orientations and other recruitment events, as needed, to support the Recruitment team.

Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in a related field. • Two to three years of professional experience in admissions, application processing, academic advising, college admissions, or a related customer service setting. • Experience managing and utilizing CRM systems, including Slate, ERP systems and Banner within a higher education environment. • Experience verifying Texas Core Curriculum and academic program requirements.

Pay Statement: Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan. Required Qualifications: High school graduation plus five (5) years progressively responsible related experience; additional related education may exchange for required experience on a year for year basis.

Visa Information: TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required. On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions. TTUHSC will not pay the $100,000 fee, if applicable.
