Job Description: We Protect Those Who Protect Us. Join us in BAE's Countermeasures and Electromagnetic Attack Solutions (CEMA) Business Area as a Mechanical Technician IV for the Area 5 Factory. In this product line you will be supporting next-generation countermeasures to help aircraft answer evolving threats.

This position is a weekend shift-working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This schedule consists of 36 hours worked per week with 40 hours of pay, plus a 10% pay premium.

The Mechanical Assembler IV is responsible for the precision build, assembly, and modification of complex electrical and mechanical systems for the VSS program. This role focuses on transforming raw components into finished products by interpreting technical drawing packages, process sheets, and detailed specifications. The Assembler is tasked with the full lifecycle of the build process, including assembly, disassembly, rework, and repair. In addition to building, this role ensures high-quality standards through the inspection of peer work and the application of finishing techniques such as painting and sanding.

Shift Note: This position supports the 4th Shift (Weekend Day Shift), working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This schedule consists of 36 hours worked per week with 40 hours of pay, plus a 10% pay premium. Due to the nature of the role, this position is 100% on-site at the Canal Street facility, Nashua, NH.

Required Skills and Education: • High School Diploma OR GED • 5-7 years of electronic assembly experience • Ability to achieve or already have IPC-610 and J-STD solder certifications • Experience with using small hand tools and complex tooling such as ovens, soldering irons, hot plates, microscopes, etc. • Excellent communication skills and team-oriented mindset • Proven ability to work well under pressure and a dynamic environment. • Must be able to lift 20-30lbs

Preferred Skills and Education: • Experience with mechanical assembly in a classified environment. • Solder experience • Experience with Lean Manufacturing
