Bring your energy to Aggreko as Technician 1 — Electric based in North Houston, TX. You’ll keep customers powered by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing generators, electrical distribution equipment, and HVAC systems.

What you’ll do as Technician 1 — Electric:

Based out of our North Houston, TX service center, traveling daily to customer sites in a company vehicle

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on power generators, electrical distribution equipment, chillers, HVAC systems, and oil-free air compressors

Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer sites, diagnosing and executing repairs

Set up and operate equipment independently or alongside fellow technicians, both in the shop and on customer sites

Work overtime and weekends as needed, with potential for travel to support customer operations

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities: You are:

High School diploma or GED, with 2+ years of hands-on experience on diesel/natural gas generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, chillers, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs

Able to calculate nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, and confident reading and interpreting electrical schematics

Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card based on customer requirements

Physically able to move or lift objects typically under 50 lbs

Other essential job requirements

Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts

Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices

Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level

Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders

Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat
