Because this role relies on regular in‑person collaboration and includes responsibilities that are only supported onsite, it is expected to be performed primarily at a BAE Systems facility. This means the position is considered an onsite role, with work generally conducted at a company location.
This position reports to the Facility Security Officer (FSO), performing a wide variety of duties to assist the FSO in the implementation and maintenance of a complete industrial security program including alarm response, area control, container access, badge and lock control, incident investigation, classification management, classified hardware control, classified mailing & transfers, and plant protection as required by the Department of Defense under the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other government agencies. Performs all duties in accordance with DoD, UL 2050 and NISPOM requirements related to Alarm response. Responsible for checking emergency exits, patrolling the interior and exterior of the campus. In charge of area and container access; briefing personnel of their responsibilities for having access to containers and closed areas, maintaining access rosters, lock control and conducting audits of both areas and containers. Ensure compliance with U.S. Government manuals/directives, as well as corporate/segment policies and standard operational procedures Responsible for writing and reviewing incident reports. Investigates security violations and prepares comprehensive reports for submission to the FSO for review and necessary action. Responsible for covering breaks at the front desk; must learn the visitor control process to include badging of personnel/visitors, escorting and conducting bag checks. Provide classification guidance to employees and support FSO with security self-inspections and audits. Contribute to a holistic security posture by supporting other critical disciplines, including Personnel, Physical, Cyber, COMSEC, Document Control, and Visitor Control. Assists with Closed Area construction requirements and certification. Create and modify badge accounts. Monitors key control.
This position has a high, mobile visibility during business hours.
Position requires climbing, lifting and long periods of standing and walking.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities: Required Education, Experience, & Skills Active, current SECRET security clearance. Ability to read and interpret the NISPOM. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to perform effectively under pressure and manage priorities in a fast paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other applicable software tools.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Experience interpreting and working with federal security regulations such as the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS). Prior experience in a Security based role.
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $56401 - $95881
