Unparalleled Preparatory Academy (UPA) Part-Time Spanish Teacher (Contract Position) Position Title: Part-Time Spanish Teacher (Contract) Reports To: Dean of Instruction Contract Term: September 2026 – May 2027 (School Year 2026-2027) Compensation: $10,000 total contract, paid in equal monthly installments over the contract term. The contract is based on an equivalent daily rate of $92.58 (108 days) for services rendered. This is a 1099 independent contractor position and does not include employee benefits. Position Summary UPA is seeking an energetic and passionate Part-Time Spanish Teacher (Contractor) to build a strong foundation for our middle school music program. This individual will teach two sections of 8th Grade Spanish (120 minutes daily) while developing beginning spanish skills. Primary Responsibilities Instruction
• Teach two sections of 8th Grade Spanish 2-3 times a week.
• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons.
• Student Engagement
• Build meaningful relationships with students.
• Encourage student creativity, confidence, and collaboration.
• Communicate student progress with families as needed.
Professional Responsibilities
• Attend required staff meetings, professional development, and school events related to assigned responsibilities.
• Maintain accurate attendance and grade records.
• Collaborate with teachers and school leadership.
Qualifications Required:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in Education, Spanish, or a related field.
• Ability to teach beginning spanish.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Preferred: Experience teaching spanish to middle school-aged students. Experience working in charter schools or Title I schools. Schedule The contractor will provide services that include:
• Teaching two sections of 8th Grade Spanish
• Reasonable planning and preparation necessary to fulfill contractual responsibilities
Compensation
• Total Contract Value: $10,000
• Paid in equal monthly installments over the duration of the contract.
• This is a 1099 independent contractor agreement. The contractor is responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes and is not eligible for employee benefits, retirement contributions, paid leave, or other employment-related benefits.
