Reports To: Building Principal (with support from the District Athletics Department) Role Summary The Athletic and Enrichment Coordinator provides visionary leadership and management of all athletic programs with additional support for extracurricular programs at the high school, junior high, and elementary levels (as applicable). This position ensures alignment with the mission and values of CPS, fostering student development, leadership, academic achievement, and community engagement. Key Responsibilities Athletic Program Leadership
• Oversee planning, implementation, supervision, and evaluation of all athletic programs.
• Ensure compliance with Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA), NFHS, district policies, and legal requirements.
• Coordinate scheduling of practices, competitions, transportation, facilities, and event workers.
• Manage athletic budgets, including equipment procurement, facility maintenance, and fundraising oversight.
• Coordinate pre-season meetings, eligibility reporting, academic monitoring, and student physical requirements.
Extracurricular Program Support
• Support a broad range of extracurricular offerings, including clubs, arts, and leadership programs.
• Collaborate with faculty and partners to create meaningful student opportunities.
• Organize school events like awards assemblies, banquets, parent engagement nights, and special activities as needed in support of school leadership.
• Serve as a liaison for public relations, media communications, and community partnerships.
• In partnership with school leadership and ILT will request all Schedule E contracts and support all staff with support. Track all Schedule E school participation data.
Staff and Coach Management
• Hire, train, onboard, supervise, and evaluate coaching staff.
• Ensure all staff are compliant with district, OHSAA, and NFHS policies.
• Promote professional development through workshops and clinics.
• Foster a culture of accountability, sportsmanship, and academic focus among coaches.
Compliance and Academic Oversight
• Submit OHSAA eligibility and compliance reports.
• Monitor student academic performance; coordinate with academic coaches and intervention programs.
• Ensure AAA Pathway or similar initiatives are integrated into athletic participation.
• Track and ensure completion of all compliance and risk management documentation.
• Support and implement study tables/tutoring/enrichment supports
Community and Family Engagement
• Engage parents, students, and alumni through events, booster clubs, and outreach.
• Coordinate with principals and district leaders on parent committees, LSDMC, ILT, and family success teams.
• Build partnerships with community organizations, health providers, and local businesses.
Facilities and Event Operations
• Coordinate preparation and readiness of practice and competition spaces.
• Oversee event operations, including ticketing, gatekeeping, security, and post-event cleanup.
• Arrange for rescheduling of contests due to weather or other issues.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Sports Management, or related field preferred for this position.
• 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in athletic or extracurricular leadership.
• Valid Ohio Pupil Activity Permit
• Deep knowledge of OHSAA, NFHS, and district athletic policies.
• Demonstrated success in budget management, compliance, and program development.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
• Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and the holistic development of students.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
• High ethical standards and discretion in handling sensitive or confidential matters.
EMPLOYMENT PROVISIONS
