| POSITION Substitute High School Science Instructor
| GENERAL DESCRIPTION This instructor will teach science courses to 10th, 11th, and/or 12th grade students at Butler Tech's Natural Science Center in Monroe. As a department of one, the instructor will teach across multiple science disciplines, including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Science. The 72-acre campus provides an authentic learning environment where science instruction can connect with real-world applications in agriculture, animal science, and natural resources. This is a full-time substitute assignment from December 2026 through May 2027. The permanent, full-time Science Instructor position for the 20272028 school year will be posted separately in Spring 2027.
| QUALIFICATIONS
• Appropriate licensure through the Ohio State Board of Education covering all Science course areas for Grades 10- 12 such as Integrated Science (132010) and/or Comprehensive Science (130000); • Willingness/ability to work with students, teachers and administrators as a team member; • Computer expertise appropriate to the position; • Effective and demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral and written communication, and organizational skills; • State-issued identification card with photograph; • History of strong work record, including good job attendance; and • Documented evidence of acceptable criminal record as required by Ohio law and Board Policy.

| SALARY Starting at $285.51/day, with a higher rate possible based on experience and education
