About the job:
This position works in close partnership with the Commercial Director to develop and implement local sales and marketing strategies for the JR & Mako franchise in Taiwan. The individual will lead the team to achieve yearly quotas and to increase market share, with a strong focus on driving adoption and utilization of Stryker’s market-leading robotic and capital technologies.
What you will be doing:
• Identify market trends and develop the JR & Mako consumables and capital equipment sales strategy and plans for the Taiwan market. • Develop new accounts and sales pipeline to grow the market share of the JR & Mako franchise in the Taiwan market. • Drive adoption and utilization of Mako and capital equipment, ensuring installed systems translate into sustained clinical usage and revenue growth. • Identify, onboard and develop professional working relationships with Indirect Channel (IC) partners to drive business growth, while adhering to company compliance standards and policies. • Forecast, monitor and analyze sales performance on an ongoing basis to initiate corrective actions. • Prepare reports, summaries, analyses and documentation on all aspects of sales management. • Collaborate closely with Marketing to develop the long-term business strategy of the JR & Mako franchise. • Integrate individual territory plans and account profiles into a broader country sales plan. • Plan and manage control expenses to ensure sales objectives are met within budget. • Build a high-performing and engaged sales and clinical (MPS) support team by providing strong leadership and implementing appropriate development initiatives in partnership with HR. • Provide continuous tools and education programs to team members to ensure up-to-date industry, competitor and product knowledge. • Establish team and individual sales / performance goals and provide effective coaching to team members to consistently improve their performance.
Who we are looking for:
• Degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biomedical, Medical Science or related fields. • At least 5 years of sales management experience, with hands-on managerial experience in the medical device industry. • Capital equipment sales experience is a must have. Experience in Orthopaedics is a strong added advantage. • Demonstrated ability in creating capital sales funnel and successfully closing out long capital sales cycles through effective engagement of hospital leadership, procurement and other key stakeholders. • Demonstrated ability to work in a regional matrix organizational structure, collaborating well with cross functional stakeholders like Finance, Compliance, Legal, IC Management, etc. • Strong business acumen, strategic mindset and excellent problem-solving skills. • Experience operating a hybrid Indirect Channel (IC) and direct commercial model, with the ability to create direct customer impact. • High standards of integrity and a demonstrated track record of growing a business while adhering to company compliance standards. • Proven track record in sales management, channel management and key account management. • Able to maintain dealer relationships and establish relationships with KOLs. • Results-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders. • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English, with the ability to engage clinicians, channel partners and internal stakeholders. • Familiarity with the Taiwan medical device regulatory and NHI reimbursement environment is an advantage.
Travel Percentage: 30%
