As a Senior Buyer, you will lead strategic and tactical purchasing activities, manage supplier performance, and work closely with cross-functional teams to support production, planning, quality, and sourcing objectives.
What You Will Do
• Maintain supplier, product, lead time, and replenishment master data within ERP systems to ensure accurate planning and procurement execution. • Communicate demand forecasts and supply requirements to suppliers for raw materials, components, and finished goods. • Execute purchase orders according to the supply plan and respond to planning signals generated by the ERP system. • Manage safety stock requirements and validate material availability based on inventory levels, consumption rates, purchase orders, and scheduled deliveries. • Lead supplier interactions to adjust requirements, resolve supply issues, and escalate material shortages when needed. • Conduct weekly and monthly supplier reviews to monitor performance, align expectations, and drive recovery plans when required. • Track and report key performance indicators, including on-time and in-full delivery, lead time compliance, inventory levels, purchase order accuracy, and supplier performance metrics. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers and internal stakeholders while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
What You Will Need Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. • Minimum 5 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing. • Proficiency in written and spoken English. • Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or equivalent. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Word. • Regular collaboration with global suppliers and cross-functional teams (3- years of experiences) • Requires participation in supplier and stakeholder meetings across different time zones (3- years of experiences)
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in the medical device industry or another regulated manufacturing environment. • Experience using Power BI for reporting and data analysis. • Knowledge of continuous improvement and cost reduction methodologies.
