About this role
[What the role is] The successful candidate will support the effective operation of the Learning & Skills portfolio by managing governance, budgeting, procurement, reporting and compliance processes. Ensure alignment between product priorities, funding, contractual arrangements and vendor delivery within a structured and compliant operating environment. [What you will be working on]
• Establish and manage product governance processes, including demand intake, prioritisation forums, decision records and reporting cadence. • Support the Product Director in product budget planning, funding allocation, expenditure tracking and vendor cost monitoring. • Coordinate procurement and contract management activities, including contract variations, renewals, commercial documentation and vendor governance. • Track vendor performance against agreed deliverables and ensure alignment between vendor work and product priorities. • Prepare reports and updates for Steering Committee and stakeholders, including product roadmap status, budget status, key risks and decisions required. • Ensure compliance with organisational policies, audit requirements and required governance documentation. • Maintain documentation related to approvals, audit trails, governance decisions, product scope changes and risk items. • Ensure governance, budgeting and procurement processes enable product delivery without driving product scope or prioritisation decisions. • Review and improve governance, reporting and operational processes to enhance efficiency and support product delivery.
[What we are looking for]
• Qualifications in Information Technology, Business, Finance, Public Administration, Engineering or a related discipline. • At least 5 years of relevant experience in governance, procurement, programme management, digital transformation, product operations or enterprise application delivery. • Experience in budgeting, procurement, vendor management, governance or audit-related activities. • Strong stakeholder management, coordination and communication skills. • Familiarity with governance, compliance and procurement processes within large organisations. • Experience in Continuing Education and Training (CET), lifelong learning, education technology or related domains will be an advantage.
