About this role
Facilitates compliance with the Company’s quality, safety, health and environmental programs. Supports a safe work environment by using a range of HSE tools and processes. • Promotes all TTS, Safety, Health and Environmental programs while continually expressing and enforcing TTS’s commitment to HSE.
• Stops any work in which a safety hazard has been identified until all affected parties are made aware of the possible hazard and all reasonable measures have been taken to mitigate the hazard.
• Consults with peers and subordinates when they are in doubt as to how to safely approach any work-related job situation.
• Keeps current with TTS’s required safety training courses and any other Regulatory required training.
• Maintains a safe driving record and avoiding any at-fault or preventable accidents.
• Conducts field safety evaluations and report findings and corrective actions to management.
• Conducts and document Facility Audits and report findings to district management.
• Conducts and or assist in accident investigations, districts safety personnel on performing effective accident investigations.
• Promotes TTS’s efforts to provide safety and environmental-related policies, procedures and work instructions to ensure employee and equipment safety and compliance with TTS’s internal requirements and any governing body regulatory requirements.
• Coaches personnel in good safety habits.
• Monitors and corrects at risk behaviors.
• Ensures that updated policies and forms are used.
• Coaches & trains operations and districts safety personnel in the use of JSEA/JSA, Safety meetings, Mentoring, Bison and any other safety related programs, and document on required forms.
• Informs management of audit/inspection findings in writing with feasible solutions.
• Sets high standards for safety performance while performing the various duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
