As Engineering Manager on the Recommendations team, you will work to build the best recommendations-as-a-service product on the market, improving the e-commerce experience for hundreds of millions of users across the world.
You will:
Own the quality and impact of our recommendations, driving improvements in key business metrics — making sure we bring maximum value to our customers and crush every competitor on our wayLead and grow the team through hiring, coaching, and creating an environment where engineers can do their best workSet direction for the team and translate product goals into a clear, executable engineering planEnsure the system is reliable, scalable, and meets strict SLAsRequirements
5+ years of experience in applied machine learning, including at least 2 years leading engineering teamsStrong understanding of machine learning and deep learningProficiency in Python, experience working with cloud infrastructure, SQL, and at least one DL frameworkSolid engineering fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, system design, APIsExperience setting technical direction and translating product goals into clear, actionable plansExperience hiring and growing engineers in growing teamsExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishComfortable joining meetings between 11:00–17:00 UTCBenefits
