JOB REQUISITION Senior Consultant 1, LR&C-Risk LOCATION HONG KONG ADDITIONAL LOCATIONS
JOB DESCRIPTION You will help to build our expertise and guarantee the quality of delivery to ensure market-leading practices for our Hong Kong office, taking into account the global nature of our organisation and our clients. Key Responsibilities:
• Contribute to engagements with leading financial institutions including banks, securities firms, private equity and insurance companies
• Deliver high‑quality client engagements, taking ownership of workstreams and deliverables while meeting agreed timelines and budget expectations
• Support the delivery of regulatory and risk consulting engagements, including AML/KYC reviews, regulatory compliance assessments, risk assessments, internal control reviews and enhancements, policy and procedure development, governance framework design, licensing applications, and broader risk and compliance advisory projects.
• Participate in business development initiatives, including thought leadership, proposal development, and client presentations
• Share consulting best practices and contribute to the continuous development of the team
Specific areas of expertise: Ideally, you would have advisory experience in one or more of these areas:
• Regulatory compliance review and advisory in HKMA, SFC and / or IA regulations • Financial crime compliance – AML, Fraud, Sanctions • Market conduct and Consumer protection • Data privacy (e.g. PDPO, GDPR, PIPL) and Information security • Operational risk and Resilience • Outsourcing and Third party risk management • Adoption of AI for compliance automation and/or RegTech
Key Requirements:
• University graduate or above in accounting, business, finance or related disciplines.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in risk and regulatory compliance within a reputable consulting firm. Those with less experience could be considered for consultant level.
• Holder of professional qualifications such as CPA, CFA, FRM, CAMS, CISA , CIA and/or other related qualification is an advantage.
• Familiar with HKMA, SFC and / or IA regulations
• Sound knowledge of banking, investment, and securities products would be an advantage.
• Good project management and stakeholder management skills
• Strong interpersonal, logical and analytical skills
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent presentation and communication skills with clients and colleagues
• Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and team leadership skills
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Cantonese is a must. Fluency in Mandarin is an advantage.
