About this role

Position Highlights Join a dynamic team dedicated to fostering student engagement, leadership development, and well-being through recreational sports and wellness programming. This role plays a key part in designing and delivering a comprehensive intramural sports program that enhances the student experience and promotes a vibrant campus community. May be required to work occasional evening and weekend hours based on program and academic schedules.

Key responsibilities include:

• Contributing to the design, development, and implementation of more than 30 intramural sports leagues each semester. • Recruiting, training, supervising, and evaluating over 70 student employees, including officials, supervisors, and managers. • Collaborating with campus partners to develop and implement programs that support student success, wellness, and engagement. • Monitoring program effectiveness and utilizing data to assess outcomes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. • Supporting inclusive and welcoming recreational opportunities that encourage participation from diverse student populations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Contributes to the design, development, and implementation of recreational and wellness programs • Supports the delivery and logistics for wellness education programs, including the curriculum, facilitation, and evaluation • Assesses programs’ effectiveness through feedback, surveys, and other tools to continuously improve quality and impact • Supports budget planning and resource allocations for programs • Engages with internal partners and external stakeholders to obtain support for the Center of Recreational Sprots mission and objectives • Assist student employees and adjunct staff. Trains student-staff as well as fosters a positive and supportive work environment • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Knowledge of recreation operations including intramural, club sports, and wellness program development • Knowledge of budget control methods, policies, and procedures • Skill in multi-tasking, project management, prioritization, and organization • Skill in collecting and analyzing data, or conducting research, for the purpose of assessing or developing recreational and wellness programs • Ability to design and lead inclusive recreational and wellness programs that meet the needs of diverse populations • Ability to manage and maintain confidential and sensitive information

Minimum Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in related field • 1 year of relevant experience • Equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered

Job Level Overview Operations, Administrative, Service, or Technical Support Level 2 - An intermediate level role with working foundational knowledge and skills to perform routine and occasionally non-routine tasks. Tasks may require interpretation or deviation from standard procedures. May provide assistance to entry level staff.
