About this role

• Competitive salary + health and life insurance

• Flexible working: some in the office with your team – some from home

• Part-time 0.7 FTE OD role with flexibility, autonomy and meaningful people impact

Bring depth, judgement and proven OD practice to work that helps people, teams and culture thrive across Pāmu.

THE OPPORTUNITY This is a rare opportunity to shape work that makes a real difference for people across Pāmu, with diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging at the heart of the role. As Organisational Development Business Partner, you’ll lead and deliver a varied mix of OD priorities, including DEIB, staff engagement, capability, culture and change.

You’ll join a collaborative People team where you are trusted to bring well-developed expertise, sound judgement and practical delivery. This is a role for someone who has worked through complex people, culture and change challenges before, and can turn good thinking into clear plans, useful tools and visible outcomes. You’ll have the benefit of a supportive manager, close connection with HR Business Partners, and another OD colleague to share ideas with, so while you’ll have plenty of ownership, you won’t be working in isolation.

A key focus on diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging: A significant part of this role will be helping Pāmu continue to build a workplace where different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives are valued, and where people feel they belong. You’ll take the lead on practical DEIB work that supports our people and leaders across Aotearoa, turning intent into action through thoughtful programmes, everyday tools, conversations and initiatives that make inclusion real in the way we work.

The current person in this role, Alex, is heading off to an amazing opportunity and will be greatly missed. Before she leaves, she wanted to share this message with the next person who steps into the role:

“Wow what a role! You get to work with a dream team and be in a role that makes a real impact. In this role you get to work across the business to make a difference, while being supported by highly skilled colleagues. This role is exciting and fun where you get to see projects through to completion, facilitate the development of our leaders and take the reins with DEIB. I enjoyed every day at Pāmu, and you will to.”

The work is broad, practical and people centred. One day you might be helping leaders understand engagement insights, another day designing a workshop, facilitating a conversation about belonging, or working alongside our diverse on-farm teams across Aotearoa to help people feel heard, respected, included and able to contribute at work.

This is a 0.7 FTE part-time role with flexibility to work from home. We value flexibility and trust, while also recognising there will be times when being available for a full day matters, particularly when facilitating workshops or spending time with teams.

If you enjoy variety, autonomy and work where your experience can make a visible contribution, this role offers the chance to influence how we build belonging, capability and a stronger people experience across Pāmu, while joining a team people genuinely love being part of.

ABOUT YOU

You’ll bring depth and credibility in organisational development, with experience that may include culture, engagement, leadership development, inclusion, change, facilitation or another people-focused pathway. You’ll be comfortable moving between strategy and delivery: understanding what the business needs, designing practical responses, and following through so the work lands well.

You don’t need to be the loudest voice in the room. What matters is that you can read the room, create space for honest conversations, ask thoughtful questions and help people move from ideas to practical action. You’ll build trust across different teams and leaders, and adapt your approach for people working in very different environments across Aotearoa.

You don’t need to meet every point to be considered. Some of the experience that would help you succeed includes:

• Proven OD experience across areas such as culture, engagement, leadership development, inclusion, change, learning or capability, with examples of work you have designed, delivered and embedded. • Credible experience or strong working knowledge in diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, with the ability to lead practical work that helps people feel respected, heard, safe to contribute and able to bring different perspectives to the table. • Confidence designing and facilitating workshops, leader sessions or group conversations, including the ability to shape content, guide discussion and support practical outcomes. • A practical, relationship-led style and the ability to work well with HR Business Partners, leaders and people across different parts of the business. • Comfort using people data, engagement insights and systems such as Workday/Pkong to identify themes, tell a clear story and support leaders to take meaningful action.
