Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – PRN Kern River Transitional Care Pay Range: $42.00–$45.00 per hour, based on experience Kern River Transitional Care is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. The PTA will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to help residents improve mobility, restore function, and achieve their highest level of independence. Key Responsibilities
• Provide physical therapy treatments according to the plan of care established by the Physical Therapist • Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, transfers, balance, and gait activities • Observe and document residents’ progress, responses, and changes in condition • Communicate resident updates and concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist • Educate residents, families, and caregivers on exercises and safety techniques • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation • Follow all facility policies and applicable state and federal regulations • Collaborate with nursing, rehabilitation, and interdisciplinary team members • Promote a safe, supportive, and resident-centered environment Qualifications
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program • Current California PTA license in good standing • Current CPR certification • Previous skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred • Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills • Compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing excellent resident care Benefits
