We are seeking a Finance & Collections Specialist to take full ownership of tenant collections across a growing real estate portfolio. This role is heavily focused on managing delinquencies, following up with tenants, and ensuring timely payments, while also providing light finance support through reporting and analysis.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and manage tenant delinquencies across the full property portfolio Conduct follow-up calls and send notices to tenants with overdue balances Reconcile tenant ledgers and accounts to ensure accuracy Track, analyze, and report delinquency metrics and trends to leadership Maintain detailed records of all collection activities and communications Coordinate with property managers and legal teams when escalation is required Develop and improve collection workflows, policies, and follow-up processes Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports Support budgeting, cash flow tracking, and variance analysis Create high-level, owner-facing reports that translate raw data into actionable insights Assist with investor-related reporting as needed Requirements
Strong experience in Collections / Accounts Receivable (core requirement) Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets (financial tracking, reconciliation, reporting) Experience with AppFolio (preferred), Yardi, or similar property management software Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written), comfortable handling US-based calls Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to create clear, concise, high-level reports for leadershipCPA, CMA, or similar accounting certification (Nice to have) Experience in real estate, property management, or fund administration (Nice to have) Familiarity with US landlord-tenant laws and eviction processes (Nice to have) Experience working with external accountants or investor reporting (Nice to have) Experience with AppFolio, Yardi, or similar tools (Nice to have)
