Overview: The Business Planning and Analysis Summer Intern will help support the company’s forecasting and budgeting process. This candidate will demonstrate skills in financial planning, analysis, and reporting while participating in a range of analytical and data analysis activities which will help lead to increased efficiencies and revenue opportunities, as well as lower operational expense levels.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in monthly forecasting of financial statements • Generate monthly and quarterly reporting • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets for business leaders • Create ad hoc reports to support business operations • Maintain open lines of communication • Support the business units • Prepare analysis of industry data and trends
Qualifications and Required Skills:
• Interest in Property and Casualty Insurance Industry • Current Sophomore or Junior pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, mathematics or other related degree • Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities • High level of intellectual curiosity • Effective communicator (verbal and written) • Strong attention to detail • Desire to work collaboratively in a team environment • Cumulative GPA of a 3.0 or higher • Commutable to our West Trenton, New Jersey Office
