As a Clinical Nursing Supervisor in our OB Emergency Department, you will play a vital role in guiding clinical teams, ensuring high-quality patient care, and supporting families during some of life’s most critical and meaningful moments. What You’ll Do
• Coordinate patient placement and staff assignments to ensure safe, efficient care delivery • Support and assist clinical staff with patient care and unit operations • Serve as a clinical resource for nurses, patients, and families • Step in as a staff nurse as needed based on patient acuity • Supervise and direct clinical activities, responding to rapidly changing patient conditions • Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and interdisciplinary teams • Participate in staff education, onboarding, and ongoing training • Lead and contribute to quality improvement initiatives • Assist with departmental operations including staffing, scheduling, and resource utilization • Help maintain inventory, equipment, and overall unit environment • Represent the department on committees and organizational initiatives What You’ll Bring Required Qualifications
• Education: Graduate from an accredited Nursing program • Licensure: Active RN license (or compact license) meeting all state board requirements • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience • Certification: • BLS (American Heart Association) within 30 days of hire • Additional certifications may be required based on unit (e.g., ACLS, NRP, C-EFM, PALS, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous supervisor or leadership experience • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) • Experience in OB, emergency, or high-acuity settings
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly • Prolonged standing and walking throughout shifts • Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and movement required
