Job Family: Student Regular Wage Department: Communications Studies/Theatre Supervisor: Maha Jolley Job Title: Scene Shop Worker Job Description: Employees of the scene shop will be responsible for the realization of all scenery and lighting designs for Mercer University Theatre. In short, we create magic and illusions four shows a year. Employees will work hard, have fun, and get dirty. Qualifications Preference will be given to students who are theatre majors, plan to be a theatre major, or who are looking to be involved for the theatre for fun, or who simply have construction experience. Necessary Abilities
• Perform heavy lifting on a regular basis • Work with all manner of power tools, including saws • Perform their job while strictly following safety rules • Occasionally work on Saturdays as needed • Be open to learning new things • Commit to a work schedule for the semester Pay starts at $10.00 an hour
