About this role
What You Will Do As an Inside Sales Specialist based in Johannesburg, you will support customers across Africa by identifying their needs, preparing accurate solutions, and ensuring high customer retention. You will work closely with Outside Sales, Field Operations, and technical teams to deliver proposals that fully align with JCI standards and meet customer expectations.
How You Will Do It
• Serve as the main contact for customer inquiries and HVAC Service requests.
• Build strong relationships through distributors and ensure repeat business and account retention.
• Create and manage proposals in SFDC, including pricing guidance, upsell opportunities, and full review before submission.
• Oversee the end‑to‑end cycle from lead identification to ERP booking.
• Conduct outbound follow‑ups, track renewals, and communicate expiring proposals.
• Review job cards, terms & conditions, and payment terms according to JCI standards.
• Collaborate with regional teams for site details and asset counts.
• Analyze quotation performance, market trends, and provide regular sales insights.
• Maintain technical knowledge through ongoing training.
What We Look For Required
• Minimum 3 years experience in HVAC or Building Technologies sales/estimation
• Strong track record of exceeding targets
• Ability to influence key decision makers
• High-volume phone communication experience
• CRM proficiency
• Ability to quickly learn Johnson Controls’ product portfolio
Preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
